 Wood's Vegetrian Cafe

Have heard so much about Woodys, and finally made it on what had to be the most beautiful day of the year. Luckily managed to get a table outside. The service was good considering how busy they were. The food was excellent (and I'm not vegetarian) and if nothing else....you MUST try the homemade Lemonade!! OMG...lush!
I'll be back :)

Fantastic vegetarian restaurant. Excellent atmosphere. Great food. Positive, friendly staff. Reasonable prices. The organic wine is also excellent. Highly recommended.

Absolutely superb !! Been twice in a week - once with friends, and other time with vegetarian daughter. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant variety of vegy food. Great value too (spent £30 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 drinks). The staff were relaxed and friendly - and didn't pester. There is a vegaratian restuarant in the town I live in which doesn't even come close to Woody's. Highly recommend and plan to go back again soon,.

I live on a boat in Apsley marina. Woodys is my neighbour.

There were a few reasons why I bought a boat and moved to Apsley and being next to Woodys was the main one. I stumbled across Woodys on a bike ride 2 years ago and had the most glorious lunch at an outside table looking onto the canal watching the boats gliding past.

Call it a moment of madness if you will, but I had an epiphany. I thought to myself I would love to eat here everyday. I'd given the boat idea some thought previously but that day swung things for me. Within 2 weeks, I'd bought a boat and moved to Apsley where I live now. I do eat at Woodys every day - sometimes twice. I love the food and the staff are wonderful.

I am not a vegetarian btw.

I also lived on a narrowboat - Diamonds and Rust - for the season last year 2011 and stayed in Apsley for nearly a month - I moored right outside Woodys Cafe. I didn't want to move because of it. Fabulous food, excellent coffee and the staff were enchanting and really helpful. I cant recommended this cafe enough. I tell everyone down in Penzance about it and a couple of my friends who had to come up to London caught the train down to Apsley to go to it because I bleated on about it so much. They too loved it. Try it ... you will not be disappointed. Up in Hemel for the weekend in a couple of weeks....guess where I will be eating? !!
